Employee intranet strategy
The Independent Electricity System Operator understands the significant potential of an intranet to connect employees and keep everyone in-the-know, engaged, and included. Q30 is an award-winning design firm with very strong UX design and accessibility expertise – the perfect partner for this digital project, and an agency I’ve collaborated with for 20 years.
I worked closely with the design and UX team at q30, and then in tight partnership with members of the IESO’s internal communications team to develop an overarching content and messaging strategy for the redesign of the IESO intranet. The strategy defined the purpose of the intranet site, its role in relation to other tools and platforms within the IESO’s communications ecosystem, and included section-by-section messaging strategies and updated or new copy, and included input from multiple stakeholders. I also developed governance and process documents, a robust Strategy Guide, and an Editorial Style Guide. Additional work included scripts and voice-over for popular explainer videos, and various positioning and strategy documents.

Editorial content strategy review
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board’s (CPPIB) strength is to maximize returns and minimize undue risk to build a retirement foundation for Canadians. GALE Partners excels in strategy, UX, and design
Alongside the UX team at GALE Partners and in collaboration with a UX content strategist, I spearheaded the site’s visual/editorial content strategy review. I oversaw a content audit and analyzed the site’s existing content structure, identified priority content for the future site, and identified the program’s future content goals to understand the governance – including roles, processes, etc. – needed to accommodate more robust content planning and creation. I also produced an extensive content strategy guide to identify the organization’s content principles, content goals, foundational content strategy, digital content best practices, messaging recommendations, and ideas for content planning and creation.

TD Small Business Banking offers clients useful, relevant content and the Diamond Marketing Group’s sharp strategy department brings the research and insights to support it.
I developed an editorial content calendar aligned to three TD small business banking topic areas and four content pillars that included a series of compelling and relevant article ideas for each topic area targeted to general and priority audiences.
